Melles Griot offers a comprehensive line of instrumentation to measure virtually every significant laser parameter, including power, spectral purity, power noise spectrum, beam-pointing characteristics, intensity profile, and M² as well as the capability to measure light intensity of other light sources in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared spectral regions. This range of instrumentation provides cost-effective solutions to the many laser-beam and light source measurement and characterization problems found in research, development, and quality assurance.

Beam Position-Measuring SystemsBeam Position-Measuring Systems: Our product offering includes dual-channel lateral-effect detectors, quadrant detectors, and the AlignMeter™, which measures both beam position and angle.
Beam-Intensity Profilers and M<sup>2</sup> MeasurementBeam-Intensity Profilers and M2 Measurement: Melles Griot offers camera-based (CCD and CMOS) and scanning slit profilers as well as knife-edge profilers with tomographic analysis capability. Quality-factor (M2) measurement capability is included or available with some of these systems.
Photodiodes, Integrating Spheres, and AmplifiersPhotodiodes, Integrating Spheres, and Amplifiers: Combine our standard and high-speed silicon photodiodes with our integrating sphere system and current amplifiers to creat your own detection system.
Power and Energy MetersPower and Energy Meters: Melles Griot offers a wide variety of power and energy meters with a choice of thermopile, pyroelectric, and semiconductor detectors. Power capability ranges from picowatts to 50 watts.
Wavelength MetersWavelength Meters: Our WaveMate™ wavelength meter determines the wavelength of a raw beam with output between 450 and 1000 nm to within 0.5 nm, with a resolution of 0.1 nm. It is particularly useful to monitor the wavelength of tunable lasers.
Laser Spectrum-Analyzer SystemLaser Spectrum-Analyzer System: The Melles Griot laser spectrum analyzer system measures the fine spectral (modal) structure of cw laser beams from 305 to 775 nm. Instruments are available with an FSR of 300 MHz or 1.5 GHz.
